Updates and News:

I am thrilled to announced that I now endorse Gallien-Krueger amplifiers. Check my blog for more.

It is beginning to look like I disappeared. Some of the content on this site is embarrassingly old. But there is good reason for it, which is that I'm too busy doing things that should be on this website (playing gigs, teaching, etc.) to have time to update it. But one thing I can say for sure: Out with the old, in with the new. I have shifted my blog over from a hosted site to this site. The new blog is here.

At IAJE in January, I was proud to be a part of the AlterEGO booth, where we were showing the instrument that I think is the best electric-upright bass on the market. It feels great to play, sounds great, it rocks. I'll be building a gear page for my website, but I have already written a review of the bass (AlterEGO 4-string Figaro Acoustic) and posted it on my blog. I believe in these instruments, and am currently endorsing them. I even have a title: Product Specialist and Media Director. Check here for their new website (all in Italian) or here for the old website (in English).

The Either/Orchestra will be playing with Ethiopian singing legend Mahmoud Ahmed and singer Tsedenia Gebre-Marqos, who is featured on our new CD Ethiopiques 20: Live in Addis, at the Banlieue Blues Festival in Paris on April 7, 2006 Check my itinerary for more details.

New Either/Orchestra dates announced - we will be taveling to Cleveland, OH for a residence at Cleveland State University, followed by a quick trip to Chicago for two nights at the Green Mill. More on my itinerary page.

The Either/Orchestra 20th anniversary concert at the Berklee Performance Center, sponsored by the Bank of America Celebrity Series, was a wild success. The Boston Phoenix's Jon Gorelick has written a nice review.

Either/Orchestra dates have been announced - we will be touring with Ethio-Jazz founder Mulatu Astatke, in support of our new CD Ethiopiques 20: Live in Addis Mulatu's music is featured prominently in Jim Jarmusch's new film Broken Flowers. In addition to music from Broken Flowers, we will be playing music from Ethiopiques 20 and music from the vast E/O catalog. Come see us in NYC, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. Check my itinerary for details,
